Rationing of Salmo Hornets Required

Minneapolis, MN, Effective April 3, 2006 it is official, AWC, the Distributors of Salmo in the USA are going to start rationing the supply of their very popular Salmo Hornet lures to all their Dealers and with direct internet orders. This move was prompted by record sales far surpassing forecasted sales of their popular line of crankbaits from Poland.

The Salmo Hornet has gained main stream acceptance with both walleye and bass anglers all around the country. Many feel it is the best multi-species crankbait in the world. Popular television shows like the Tony Dean Outdoors show have motivated customers to purchase the Salmo Hornet as well.

"There is no doubt that Tony Dean Outdoors has shown anglers how effective the Salmo Hornet is," stated Steve Baumann, owner of Salmo-USA. "Tony has a reputation for being honest and very sincere about how he catches fish. He does not pre-catch fish, he does not set-up his shows in any way. They are what they are. When Tony catches 20 walleyes on Hornets in a single show, it is obvious to everyone that Salmo Hornets are amazing fish catchers."

"At the retail level, sales of Hornets have increased 200 fold from last Spring already,"
commented Kelley Cirks, of Salmo. "There is just no possible way we could have dreamt the Hornet was going to become an overnight success with fishermen. Salmo has so many great lures, you just never know when one lure will suddenly catch-on with the fishermen, and I'm sure the Hornet will become a household name all over the country, it's that good."

Baumann. "Salmo Poland simply cannot push their quality control procedures to make lures
any quicker. It takes three months to make a Hornet, period. Every lure is special, so there is simply no way to speed-up the process."

Obviously scheduled orders are in process at Salmo Poland, but were not scheduled to arrive until late May. This rationing of Hornets is an unusual step in the fishing lure business, but
