Monofilament Enters The 21st Century!
HI-SEAS is proud to introduce
a bold advancement in monofilament fishing line-- White
Lightning --a reduced-stretch, glass-clear, micro-thin
diameter monofilament with sensitivity that rivals braid
without the hassles.
Why do anglers use braid? In a word--sensitivity. And
why are braids more sensitive than old-style nylon lines?
They offer a thinner diameter and a very low stretch factor.
But braids have drawbacks. They require special knots to
prevent them from coming untied. It has a tendency to dig
under itself on the reel causing backlashes and tangles, is
extremely visible underwater and is considerably more
expensive, frequently two to three times the cost of quality
monofilament.
With the introduction of White Lightning HI-SEAS
closes the performance gap between mono and braid. You see
most monofilament line brands have a stretch factor of 25%
or greater and can make it feel like you're fishing with a
rubber band between you and your lure or bait. That makes it
difficult to feel the subtle pick up of a wary fish and
harder to set the hook. The more line you have out the worse
it becomes. Most mono has a thicker diameter, which creates
more resistance in water further inhibiting sensitivity and
robbing you of capacity on your reel.
HI-SEAS White Lightning is engineered from a
totally new copolymer matrix that is incredibly thin,
remarkably strong and has a 40% to 60% less stretch than
old-style nylon. Its sensitivity rivals braid, but since it
is a glass-clear, micro-thin monofilament you avoid the
problems associated with braid. It offers incredible knot
strength with easy to tie knots. It supple texture lays
perfectly on spinning and conventional reels and it flows
off smoothly so its casts like a dream.
White Lightning is perfect for freshwater and
saltwater applications. It doesn't matter if you're fishing
plastic worms, finesse jigs, surface plugs, vertical jigging
or bottom fishing with bait...you'll feel the strike and set
the hook with confidence. And if you fish at night you'll
love White Lightning because it glows above the
water under black lights to making watching the line or
tying knots in the dark a breeze.
White Lightning is the monofilament of the 21 st
Century and it's coming to better tackle retailers in
300-yard filler spools in attractive pegboard boxes or in
bulk spools. If you can't find it ask your favorite dealer
to order it by name. For more information on this and other

Get The Camo
Advantage With HI-SEAS!
It's Better
Than Fluorocarbon!
From all the hype you might
think that fluorocarbon is the first, only and best
low-visibility fishing line made, but that's simply not the
case. Years before fluorocarbon there were two premium-grade
monofilament lines already on the market that were virtually
impossible for fish to see. They incorporate alternating
segments of scientifically selected colors that do for
fishing line what camouflage does for a hunter in the
woods--it distorts an animal's perception of visual patterns
so it blends into its surroundings. Those lines are HI-SEAS
Quattro Plus and Black Widow, the original camo lines, and
dollar-for-dollar they are still the very best
low-visibility lines money can buy! Compare HI-SEAS camo
lines and fluorocarbon and see for yourself.
There are two ways to make line disappear underwater.
Fluorocarbon mimics the refraction index of water, which is
an advantageous quality if visibility is the only
consideration, but it also has a very big downside.
Fishermen have found that fluorocarbon is brittle, abrades
quickly, and has very little stretch so you risk break offs.
It is stiff, so it doesn't spool well, and it is extremely
expensive. That is why most anglers only use fluorocarbon
for leaders and even there its drawbacks are a big trade-off
for reduced visibility.
HI-SEAS, long recognized for
manufacturing high-performance monofilament, pioneered the
development of camouflage fishing line over a decade ago
with Quattro Plus line, Black Widow line and Quattro Plus
leader. These groundbreaking products provide greatly
reduced visibility underwater with all the great properties
you've come to expect from HI-SEAS polymer fishing lines.
You don't have to sacrifice performance to gain
invisibility. Anglers who have used HI-SEAS camo lines in
side-by-side comparisons report getting as many hits as
baits and lures fished with fluorocarbon, but they
overwhelmingly prefer the fishability and performance
characteristics of HI-SEAS. In a straight
price-to-performance comparison, Quattro Plus and Black
Widow win hands down!
Quattro Plus is a multi-polymer formulation that
is tough as nails and up to challenging the biggest fish.
Anglers who fish bait for tuna and stripers love it as
running line and leader material, but its applications are
limitless on spinning, bait casting and heavy conventional
tackle. Black Widow is a thin diameter, IGFA rated, premium
mono that is popular for fresh and saltwater use and the
perfect line for the record-conscious angler.
We can all agree that line visibility is an important
consideration. So when you want a line that fish can't see
forget about fluorocarbon and purchase Quattro Plus or Black
Widow and get the HI-SEAS camo advantage! For more

New GRAND SLAM
Saltwater
Line That's Big Fish Tough !
Saltwater is no place for wimpy lines
that aren't up to challenging big fish in the most
unforgiving environment on earth. That's why HI-SEAS created
Grand Slam , a performance driven monofilament that
can go one-on-one with any fish, no matter how big, without
worrying about line failure. It is available in the five
most popular saltwater line colors--clear, smoke blue,
green, pink and fluorescent yellow.
HI-SEAS chemists started with a proven multi-polymer
matrix and made it extra tough through the use of a
proprietary extrusion process that incorporates laser
technology to produce a line that is so tough it's almost
abrasion proof! But that's only part of the story. Grand
Slam's has incredible impact strength, which means no
matter how hard a fish strikes, even when high-speed
trolling, you're hooked up and in control! It's moderately
soft composition means it lays neatly on spinning or
conventional tackle. It has superb knot strength, works well
with crimps and swages and provides excellent casting
qualities.
Every yard is computer checked for consistent diameter
and breaking strength and each spool is hand checked before
leaving the factory so you know you can rely on it to
perform as advertised.
New Grand Slam is available in ¼-pound, 1-pound,
2-pound and 5-pound spools from six to four hundred pound
test in your favourite line colors. So the next time you're
out, whether its surf casting for stripers, live bait
fishing for kings, trolling for trophy billfish or just
sinker bouncing for back bay flounder, you owe it to
yourself to use the line you can count on no matter how
tough the conditions or how long the fight.
HI-SEAS new premium quality Grand Slam
is BIG FISH TOUGH and promises you a level of performance
you can rely on when you need it most. Look for it in better
tackle retailers and if they don't have it ask for it by
name. For more information on this and other fine HI-SEAS

RED
DEVIL Ultimate Hi-Vis
So Bright You'll Need Shades!
This is the most incredible
high-visibility line in the world--new HI-SEAS Red
Devil--and not just because it's the brightest, easiest to
see line ever made. We set out to design a totally new
trolling line, broke all the rules along the way, and in the
process ended up with a product so unique, so packed with
performance extras, that our field testers were using it for
applications we never dreamed of and loved it!
Most hi-vis lines are fluorescent yellow, relatively
bright and easy to see on sunny days, but under clouds or
low-light conditions it can be just as hard to see as
regular lines. After months of research and testing we
developed the proprietary Red Devil color, which stands out
against water and sky regardless of ambient light
conditions. It's not just easy to see, it's almost
impossible to miss and that's why you buy a hi-vis line in
the first place. And because it's a derivative of red it
fades quickly below the surface making it hard for fish to
see so you get the best of both worlds.
Yet the color is only part of the reason Red Devil is a
bold leap forward in monofilament technology. Its
next-generation formulation combines the most expensive
co-polymers with silicone, which results in a line that is
so soft it feels like silk, yet so abrasion resistant it
wears like iron with virtually no memory whatsoever. Run it
through your fingers and you'll agree there isn't another
line on the market that feels like it, but don't let the
softness fool you. This is one of the most abrasion
resistant lines ever made! It's wonderful to tie and its
knot strength blows the competition away.
New Red Devil is the finest trolling line you'll ever use
whether you're fishing lures or rigged baits for billfish,
live bait fishing for kings or slow trolling worm rigs for
walleye. Its controlled stretch gives it just the right
amount of impact resistance to guard against breakage when a
big fish hits while providing a solid hook set. That's what
we designed it for, but our field testers liked it so much
they began using it for fishing bass in heavy cover, casting
swimming baits to stripers and a host of other techniques.
Turns out Red Devil is just great line for any technique any
time you want a hi-vis line.
Red Devil is available in ¼, one, two and five pound
spools from 6 to 130-pound test. Ask your tackle retailer
for it by name. For more information on this and other fine
