Dear Diane,

First of all, thank you for your email questioning the information given on Berkley’s website.

Secondly, please allow me to introduce myself.  I am John DeVries, the general manager of Seaguar®

brand products.  The company owning and distributing  the Seaguar® line is Kreha Corp. of America,

wholly owned by Kureha Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. in Japan, the inventor and manufacturer of

Seaguar®.

Thirdly, I will refer to our parent company, Kureha, as they are Seaguar®, and give you some facts that

don’t have to be tested in a lab.

Kureha invented fluorocarbon in 1971 and is the World leader in fluorocarbon sales and technology.

Kureha is the only fluorocarbon line manufacturer that produces its own resins.

Kureha has a patented process for fluorocarbon extrusion, transforming it into the best line in the World.

Kureha maintains its own, state-of-the-art, high tech, laboratory with a team dedicated only to

testing, improving, and researching our fluorocarbon fishing line and its production.

Kureha has also solicited independent labs to test our product vs. Vanish and others.  Obviously those

results prove to be quite different than Berkley’s.  We will continue to use independent labs in the future

to test our products vs. others.

We can say that our information on testing is correct, but they will make the same claim.

We believe the true proof of a product is using it in real-life situations not created in a lab.

We also believe that anglers who want the very best fluorocarbon on the planet, will continue to use

Seaguar®.

Let them be the judge.

I hope this helps you.  I really don’t know what else to say.

Best regards,

John
